Icon Painting Online Course
«ARCHANGEL»
Icon of Saint Michael the Archangel
We have, once again, taken your feedback into consideration. We've tried to find a reasonable balance between the quality of the video and its resolution (within the context of the "strict" technical limitations that exist on the training platform), lighting and angle. Instead of making "a movie", we have once again opted for a step-by-step format, since this is designed as training material, and you will therefore be able to easily follow fr. Antony's process. In this course you will get a detailed step by step guide on how to create a complex and multi-layered icon.

We feel that this time this approach has worked quite well. We welcome all your comments and suggestions. If you notice any errors or inaccuracies, please note them and let us know via email.

The course includes 7 lessons, 44 hours of training material, and 88 videos. It is worth noting the extra long 6th lesson, on the gilding of vestments. Initially we considered making it into a separate master class, but in the end decided to include it as part of the course package. Hence how this "superbonus" explains the significant volume of information presented in the course.

A great deal of the footage is made in zoom mode, to give you an opportunity to illustrate, as clearly as possible, how fr. Antony creates "air" in his work. Or as some refer to it: fr. Antony's invisible colours.

To maximise the efficiency of the study process, you will need a min. 15" monitor (laptop or tablet). Please do not use your smartphone to view the tutorials.

In the player settings, please select 1080 resolution and full screen mode. There you will also be able to turn on the subtitles and regulate the sound volume.
